Account Deletion
Delete Your Running Machine Account
Running Machine supports in-app account deletion. This page explains the recommended in-app flow, the fallback support path if you cannot access the app, and the difference between data that is removed and data that may be retained temporarily.
- Primary method
- In-app Account -> Delete Account
- Fallback support
- contact@jaeyeon.com
- Typical timeline
- In-app deletion is intended to complete immediately after confirmation. Email fallback requests are typically acknowledged within 2 business days.
How to request deletion
- 1Open Running Machine and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- 2Go to the Account tab and choose Delete Account.
- 3Review the warning, then confirm deletion. The app will call the protected backend deletion flow and sign you out when the request succeeds.
- 4If you cannot access the app, email contact@jaeyeon.com with the subject "Running Machine Account Deletion" and include the email address linked to your account.
Important notes
- If you used multiple devices, local data stored on another device may remain there until the app data is cleared on that device as well.
- Deleting the account removes synced cloud data and does not restore past runs if you later create a new account.
- If the in-app deletion request fails, contact support and include enough information to verify account ownership.
Data that may be deleted
- Firebase Authentication account record for the deleted user.
- Synced user document and synced run history stored under the account.
- Account-linked operational records needed to support extraction and sync.
- Local cached history on the device that successfully completes the in-app deletion flow.
Data that may be retained
- Limited operational logs or backups that may persist temporarily until routine deletion or overwrite.
- Support correspondence needed to verify or document a deletion request.
- Records that must be retained temporarily for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
