Delete Your Account

If Example App supports user accounts, users can request deletion through the process below. Adjust the flow if your app supports in-app deletion or additional verification steps.

Acknowledged within 2 business days, with deletion typically completed within 30 days unless a longer period is required by law or security obligations.

How to request deletion

  1. 1Send an email to support@example.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request".
  2. 2Include the email address or account identifier associated with the account you want deleted.
  3. 3If needed, provide limited information so account ownership can be verified.
  4. 4Once verified, the deletion request will be processed and completion will be confirmed by email.

Important notes

  • If you offer subscriptions, cancellation may need to be handled separately through the platform used for purchase.
  • If the app does not currently support account creation, adapt this page to explain that no persistent account data is stored.

Data that may be deleted

  • Account profile information and login credentials.
  • User-generated content stored only for account operation.
  • Preferences, settings, and in-app history linked directly to the account.

Data that may be retained

  • Records that must be retained temporarily for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
  • Backup copies that remain until routine overwrite cycles are completed.
  • De-identified or aggregated analytics that can no longer reasonably identify the user.
